Customizing the Panes
The form display pane is the only pane that must remain visible on your screen. You may choose to hide either one or both of the other panes. The form tree pane and the property pane may also “float” on the form display pane.
Hiding the property and form tree panes
Temporarily hiding the property pane and form tree pane may be helpful when you need to view more of the page while you work on your form layout.
To hide the property paneClick
on the Activate tool
bar.
or
1. Open the View menu and select Toolbars.
2. Deselect Property on the Toolbars submenu.
or
1. Right-click on the form tree or property pane title bar (or anywhere in the tool bar/menu area) to display the Toolbar context menu.
2. Deselect Property on the context menu.
To redisplay the property paneClick
on the Activate tool bar.
or
1. Open the View menu and select Toolbars.
2. Select Property from the Toolbars submenu.
or
1. Right-click on the form tree title bar (or anywhere in the tool bar/menu area) to display the Toolbar context menu.
2. Select Property from the context menu.

Working with floating panes
Your property and form tree panes can be docked at the left or right side of your form display pane. If you prefer, you can “float” the form and property panes instead of docking them at the sides of your screen. Floating panes allow you to use the full page for your form but still keep the panes open.
To float the property or form tree paneDouble-click on the pane title bar. The pane will “float” to the form display area.

1. Position your mouse pointer on the title bar at the top of the pane.
2. Hold your left mouse button down.
3. Drag the pane to the form display area and drop it anywhere.
To move a floating pane1. Position your mouse pointer on the pane title bar, just as you do when you move a dialog box.
2. Hold your left mouse button down and drag the pane to its new location.
To resize a floating property or form tree pane1. Place the mouse pointer on a side or corner of the window. The pointer will change to a resizing arrow.
2. Hold the left mouse button down and drag your mouse to resize the pane.
To redock the property or form tree paneDouble-click on the pane title bar. The pane will redock to its previous position.

2. Hold your left mouse button down and drag the pane to the far right or far left of the screen. The pane will redock on that side.
