Saving Your Form
When you save your file for the first time, you will need to give it a name. Existing files are saved with the same name unless you specifically save them under another name with the Save As command. Forms can be saved as either SFX files or XTemplate files.

Saving XTemplate files
XTemplate files can be saved with either an .xtempl extension or an .xml extension. There is no difference in the file itself. You can use whichever extension you prefer. The .xtempl extension was created for the purpose of distinguishing XTemplate files from other types of XML files. If you want to be able to identify the files as XTemplate files, you should use .xtempl. However, some applications that may be used in conjunction with these forms require the .xml extension. If you prefer not to change the file name for components that do not accept .xtempl, you may use the .xml extension instead.
Note:
XTemplate files do not need an administrative password, as Expere does not use I-32 authentication. File protection is controlled through the content management system in the Expere Authoring Environment.
