Printing Options
When you print from I-32 Forms Design 6, your basic printing options are controlled through your form. The paper size and orientation are set by the properties you assign to the page in your form and cannot be changed. If you assign a page an orientation of landscape, it will print as landscape, regardless of how you set this option for your printer.
Your paper source is determined by the paper size of the page being printed. If the page size is set to “legal,” the printer will get the paper from whatever tray is set up for legal-size paper for your printer. If it is set to “letter,” it will use your letter-size source. Your printer must handle all the paper sizes you use in your form in order to print your form without intervention.
Note:
If you have trouble printing your form pages, check your Windows printer properties to make sure your trays are set up correctly. Consult your printer documentation for more information. If your printer has only one paper tray, you may not be able to print forms with mixed paper sizes unless you use manual feed.
When you print a form, you can choose to print it with or without data fields. If you choose to print without data fields, you will print a “blank” form. If you choose to print with data fields, the data fields will appear as boxes. The data ID and description will appear in the data field if they are displayed on the screen. If you have chosen to hide them, they will not appear.
It should be noted that this option also affects placeable bitmaps, circle fields, barcode fields, and signature fields. Placeable bitmaps and barcode fields appear as crosshatched objects and circle fields as circles. Signature fields are “boxed” like data fields. Placeable bitmaps and barcode fields will contain the data ID and/or description if they are displayed on the form. This information is not displayed on the form for circle and signature fields, so it will not appear on the printed page.
