Changing Your Unit of Measure

When you set page properties, you will need to enter measurements. The default measurement unit is inches. If you do not normally use inches for­ measure­ments, you may want to change this before you continue. You can choose inches, centimeters, millimeters, or points. Your measure­ments will appear in the property pages in the unit of measure you choose.

The unit of measure is a global setting. Whatever you select is in effect for all your forms. However, you can reset it as needed without affecting your form or your objects. Whenever you change it, all your existing measurements are “translated” to the new unit of measure. The actual size of your pages and objects remains unchanged.

To change your unit of measure

1. Select Options from the Tools menu. The Options dialog will appear with the Workspace tab on top.

2. Click the in the Unit of Measure field to display the drop-down list:

3. Select the unit of measure you want to use from the list.

4. Click to close the Options dialog.
