Using Images and Image-Related Objects

There are two main types of graphic images available for your forms—static bitmap images, which you insert directly into your forms, and placeable bit­maps, which are loaded from an image file in the end-user environment at run time. Closely re­lated to placeable bitmaps are signature fields, barcode fields, and circle fields:

• Signature fields are graphic fields for electronically captured sig­natures.

• Barcode fields are fields that can be used to place scanable barcodes for loan numbers, IDs, etc., on a form.

• Circle fields are used to circle user choices. When a user makes a selection from a group of items, a circle appears around the item.

Although they place graphic images on the form instead of text, signature fields, placeable bit­map fields, barcode fields, and circle fields are still considered data fields and are, like standard data fields, identified by data ID and description.
