Selecting Objects from the DataView Tree

You can also select data fields, inline fields, placeable bitmaps, signature fields, barcode fields, and circle fields by selecting them from the DataView tree. You can select the objects individually, select all ob­jects of the same type on a given page, or all data field objects on the form.

Note:

The only way you can select all data fields on your form at once is from the DataView tree.

To select a data field from the DataView tree

1. Display the DataView tree.

2. Click on the name of the data field in the tree:

To select a group of data fields from the DataView tree

1. Press and hold it down.

2. Click on the specific data field objects you want to select.

To select all data field objects of the same type on a page

1. Display the DataView tree.

2. Right-click on the form name and select Sort by Page from the context menu.

3. Right-click on the node of the field type you want to select. will appear:

4. Click. All of the objects underneath that node will be selec­ted:

To select all data field objects on the form

1. Display the DataView tree.

2. Right-click on the form name and select Sort by Data ID from the context menu.

3. Right-click on the Data Fields label. will appear.

4. Click.All data fields on the form will be selected. Place­able bitmaps, inline fields, signature fields, barcode fields, and circle fields will be included.
