Inserting Horizontal and Vertical Space
You can use the insertion and deletion tools to add and remove “rows” and “columns” of space between your objects. The amount of space you add or remove corresponds to the rows and columns of your grid. If you do not want to display your grid while you are working, you may want to change your ruler to grid increments so you can see how much space you will be inserting or deleting.
Important:
When you insert a row or column, your form expands along that row or column. Any object that crosses that row or column will expand when you add the space. When you delete a row or column, your form shrinks along that row or column. Any object that crosses that row or column will be reduced when you remove the space.
