Saving your Form File

Most toolbar buttons operate differently from the Draw toolbar commands. Instead of selecting a tool, they perform a command or action. Usually they perform the action immediately, as our New File button did when we created our file. Sometimes they display a dialog box first. We could use a menu command to save our file but, since there is a save button on the tool bar, let’s learn to use that instead.

  1. On the Command Bar toolbar click the Save button ( ).
    The Save Form As dialog is displayed.
  2. Browse for a location to which you wish to save the file and click Save.
    The Set Default Location dialog is displayed.
    Note: If you do not see the Set Default Location dialog, your default settings have already been set.
    Your finished form will look similar to the one below. Notice that the file name now appears in the title bar.
