Floating Objects

Floating objects are objects that are anchored to your margins instead of to an absolute position on the page. Any object can be a floating object once you apply the Anchoring properties. They are generally used on overlays that are designed to be applied to forms with different sized margins.

Overlays do not have assignable margins of their own. They inherit the margins of whatever page they are attached to. Floating objects on an overlay retain their position relative to the margins. By using floating objects, you can create standard customer overlays that can be applied to forms with different margin specifications.
