Creating Circles and Ellipses
You can use the Custom corner option to create circles and ellipses from squares and rectangles.
To create a circle
1. Create a square that is the size you want your circle to be:

2. Click on the Corners value field on the Object tab:

3. Click
to display the drop-down list and select Custom. Horizontal and
VerticalDiameter properties will appear under the Corner
property:

4. Enter horizontal and vertical diameters that are larger than the horizontal and vertical dimensions of your square:

5. Either press
or click anywhere on the screen and you will see your
circle:

To create an ellipse
1. Create a rectangle that is the size you want your ellipse to be:

2. Click on the Corners value field on the Object tab:

3. Click
to display the drop-down list and select Custom. Horizontal and
VerticalDiameter properties will appear under the Corner
property:

4. Enter horizontal and vertical diameters that are larger than the horizontal and vertical dimensions of your rectangle:

5. Either press
or click anywhere on the screen and you will see your
ellipse:

Hint:
If you want to give yourself “resizing” room, make your diameters several times larger than your square or rectangle.
