Centering Circle Fields with Their Text
When you create circle fields, you layer the circle field on top of the corresponding text box. For easy centering, you can use the alignment tools.
To center circle fields with their text
1. Create your circle field and the text box in whatever order you prefer.
2. Align the text in the text box as follows:
-
Select Center as the horizontal alignment.
-
Select either Top or Middle as the vertical alignment. If your text has descenders (e.g., y, g, p, etc.), Top usually looks better.
3. Select both the circle field and the text box:
![]()
4. Click the
to center the objects horizontally.
5. Click the
to center the objects vertically:
![]()
6. If the circle field is too small for the text, resize the circle field and realign to the text.
Note:
There is always some space at the top of the text box, even when Top is selected as the vertical alignment. Middle can place the text too low in the text box, especially if the text contains letters with descenders (y, g, p, etc.). After you align the objects, you may want to experiment with the text vertical alignment to get the one that looks best for your font.
