Applying Underline and Strikeout Effects

You can also underline and strike out text. Although you can apply underlining to an entire text box, you will probably find it most useful to apply it to selected text. When underlining is used in data fields, it is applied to the text as the user enters it. This makes it particularly useful for inline data fields when you want to underline the data field. The strikeout effect is useful in cases where you want to re­move text that no longer applies without redesigning the form.

The underline and strikeout options can also be applied to system text boxes. The effect is applied to all text in the system text box.

To underline text

1. Select the text that you want to underline.

2. Click on the Underline value field. Then click to display a Yes/No drop-down list:

3. Select Yes from the drop-down list to underline the selected text.

To strike out text

1. Select the text that you want to strike out.

2. Click on the Strike Out value field. Then click to display a Yes/No drop-down list:
