DITA Best Practices : Using the WKFS Author Mode Style Sheet

This procedure is provided for any oXygen users desiring to make use of the custom WKFS Author Mode style sheet. This style sheet displays the content of your topic as you can expect to see when transforming to WebHelp.

Step-by-step guide

With oXygen open on the Vasont server:

  1. From the Options menu, select Preferences.
  2. Click Document Type Association.


  3. Select DITA and click the Edit button.


    You will receive the following message:


    Click Yes to continue.

  4.  Within the Document type window, click the Author tab and then CSS.


  5. Click the New button.
  6. Within the CSS dialog, browse for and select the following file:
    D:\WKFS oXygen Files\css\-dita-infodev.css.

    Alternative

    You can also enter the following in the URI text box: file:/D:/WKFS oXygen Files/css/-dita-infodev.css

    Leave the Title blank and the Alternate option un-selected.

    The new item is added to the list off stylesheets.

  7. Click the Up Arrow button multiple times to promote the style sheet to the top of the list.
  8. Click OK in all remaining dialogs to return to the oXygen main window.


Something to remember

Should you ever want to remove this styling, simply remove the file from the list of style sheets.
