Installation Steps
Note: Before running this installer, verify whether you are operating on a 32 or 64-bit operating system.
- The 32 bit version of Expere .NET will NOT run on a 64 bit operating system
- The 64 bit version of Expere .NET will NOT run on a 32 bit operating system
- Upon launching the Expere .NET installer from the installation CD, the Welcome to setup wizard for Expere Components screen appears.
- Click Next to continue.Note: Clicking Cancel displays a warning message stating that the installation can not continue. Choosing Continue will cause the installer to close; clicking Cancel will bring the user back to the License Agreement screen.
- The Installation Options screen appears; select Expere runtime engine.
- Click Next.
- The Application Pool screen appears. Enter the name of the Application Pool the Expere applications will use. By default, the Application Pool Name field is populated with ExpereAppPool as a default value.
- Click Next.
- The Database Information screen appears. Complete the following fields:
- Database Server
- Database Name
Note: If you are using content with a file system in place of a database, set both values of Database Server and Database Name to blank. For more information on using a file system, refer to Setting up bsi.properties to use content with the File System. - Click one of the following Connect using option buttons:
- Windows authentication credentials of current user
- Server authentication using the Login ID and password below
- If selecting "Server authentication using the Login ID and password below:" enter the Login ID and Password information.
- Click Next. The Destination Folder screen appears. Perform one of the following:
- Click Next to install to the default folder
- Click Change to install to a different destination folder
- The Ready to install the program screen appears. Click Next to begin the installation.
- Once the installation is complete, the Installation Wizard Completed screen appears. Click Finish to exit the installation.
